The Maritime Prints business is for sale. At 78 yrs of age and after 26 years I’ve reluctantly concluded that I need to draw stumps. But a huge amount of love and effort has gone into the project so it needs to go to someone who can lavish a similar amount of care on it - it’s been a hugely rewarding business. Is there anyone out there who would like to take it on? Please contact Rick Cosby on 01460 63776 or [email protected].

Its hard to date this etching: either just pre-First World War or shortly afterwards, the latter being more likely as Langmaid had more time on his hands then for drawing and painting. A light cruiser lies at anchor whilst the ship’s boats are given some exercise by willing/volunteered hands! Edinburgh in the background has been very finely etched and stands out most pleasingly in this etching.
