The Maritime Prints business is for sale. At 78 yrs of age and after 26 years I’ve reluctantly concluded that I need to draw stumps. But a huge amount of love and effort has gone into the project so it needs to go to someone who can lavish a similar amount of care on it - it’s been a hugely rewarding business. Is there anyone out there who would like to take it on? Please contact Rick Cosby on 01460 63776 or [email protected].

Unusual in that it’s a trial proof, QUEEN ELIZABETH is seen here in action early in her life. She had been rushed from commissioning 3 days before Christmas in 1914, out to the Dardanelles; and then on her return had just entered Rosyth Dockyard for maintenance thus missing her sisters who had sailed for Jutland with the 5th Battle Squadron. It is therefore likely that Wyllie is here portraying her stint at the Dardanelles. This etching is the property of the Wardroom Mess, HMS SULTAN (concessionary prices for members of HMS SULTAN’s wardroom)
