The Maritime Prints business is for sale. At 78 yrs of age and after 26 years I’ve reluctantly concluded that I need to draw stumps. But a huge amount of love and effort has gone into the project so it needs to go to someone who can lavish a similar amount of care on it - it’s been a hugely rewarding business. Very similar in many ways to the watercolour of the same scene by Langmaid and also in Maritime Originals & Prints’ collection (see MP 059) though in this one we see the Big Class sporting a variety of rigs. Those familiar with this stretch of the Solent will instantly recognise Ryde pier and churches which over the years have changed little in appearance.
