COASTAL FORCES: FAIRMILE D TYPE MTB 604 (MP092)

Commander Eric Tufnell RN (1888-1979).  Watercolour signed not dated

Believed to be a Fairmile D Type Motor Torpedo Boat, Tufnell shows her at speed with the upper deck weapons’crews closed up. Painted in especially delicate colours this watercolour shows ‘Tuffy’ at his best and the painting makes an excellent companion to “MTBs 244 & 224 on the Plane” which follows this picture on the website.
